Nick Ayton or the ascent of a technology leader
The rise of a technology thought leader : Nick Ayton… Nick Ayton about the crypto generation: Bitcoin is part of a tech wave that I call all at once, and where the Bitcoin blockchain is one of several technologies that by themselves will have a profound impact: Deep learning, Virtual Reality, Quantum Computing, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and therefore the magnitude of change we can expect will dwarf anything we have seen so far. I have some idea of the impact of these technologies but all at once in a decentralization model is the most interesting and the most scary, for some. Think: elitism, the establishment, the upper class, royalty – these are intertwined through history with politics that set the rules, make laws and decide how they want the people to behave. These constructs are all centralized, like managing a business where hierarchy within a capitalist system allows the resources and wealth to be owned by a handful and dictates the dissemination of power that flows from top to bottom of any organization. That is until you build a decentralized or autonomous (DAO) business where rules, consensus, and decisions are handled differently. Where responsibility and benefits are shared and behavior is set by consensus.
An internationally acknowledged technology thought leader, Nick works with CEOs to help them overcome the complex nature of new technologies that include Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, QuantumAI, Nano Materials, VR and Blockchain, as opportunities and threats for business operating model improvement, customers and the top line growth. Our London Correspondent Nick Ayton, the Sage of Shoreditch, explores a new truth serum often overlooked, called the App Token. Also known as the Utility Token, it will change more lives than any other form of token. There’s often so much time and attention spent focusing on security tokens that deliver specific things (returns) for investors, founders and users in different ways. Security tokens also provide an on/off ramp into and out of the crypto world. However, we often forget the real transformational star is in fact the App (Utility) Token and not the Security Token.
Nick Ayton on crypto app tokes : It is going to happen, leaving you no time to react. At that point it will be game over for your business, shareholders as staff and customers move on to become customers of a new Blockchain enabled business. The Rise of eCommerce was fast, Blockchain is like eCommerce on steroids and Viagra all at once, in an F1 car… Blockchain is a destructive technology capable of destroying shareholder value very quickly, far quicker than eCommerce did that sat on the Internet as part of Tim Burners-Lee’s WorldWideWeb. It was a layer that in 1993 enabled the then new commerce ‘e’commerce to be created. That took just a few years to be accepted, and for new applications as business enablers to become the new norm. Commerce that today comprises Amazon, PayPal, eBay, Alibaba, WeBank, and every business on the planet that has a website that drives commerce and is part of a global integrated supply chain where things can be delivered the next day.
