TKS Industrial has acquired Encore Automation, a leader in Automation and Robot Integration in the Automotive and Aerospace industries. We design our robot paint systems to provide the most efficient painting process within a spec’d time frame to determine the optimal number of required robots. TKS is a General Contractor for building industrial manufacturing plants, offering turn-key services including project management, construction site supervision, oversight of skilled trades and subcontractors, quality assurance, start-up, commissioning, and spray trials.
TKS offers a proprietary high-pressure water spray technology to clean car bodies of weld balls and iron dust prior to the film build processes. A clean car body is critical to a quality surface finish. TKS’ electrical engineering department works with many manufacturers including Spang, Controlled Power, and more. TKS provides a variety of types of anodes: solid, flushing, roof-, wall-, and floor-mounted. We also design and provide the anolyte system. A properly sized and maintained UF system is key to a clean e-coat finish. Along with our patented counterflow innovation, TKS offers a cost-effective ED system. TKS can design heated flash off tunnels for your paint process, using a heater box to provide hot air blow (HAB) to allow for the waterborne paint to set prior to the next coat of paint. Typically followed by a short cooling tunnel with cold air blow (CAB) to return the vehicle to near room temperature before the next layer of paint is applied.
In most paint shops, all major paint cure ovens are followed by a cooling tunnel to return the body to a lower temperature. This reduces the amount of paint smoke that is exhausted into the plant, ensures the bodies are at a cool enough temperature for team members to touch or for more paint to be applied, and also reduces the overall heat-up of the building.
